Up until Friday morning, I thought the worst thing that people could do to one another had already been done. Then Adam Lanza did the unthinkable at Sandy Hook Elementary School. I still don’t understand all the details, and quite honestly, I don’t think I ever want to. It takes a lot to make me cry, and I’m still shedding tears over this horrific act.
My thoughts and prayers, as well as the thoughts and prayers of everyone that works for Paradise Party Rentals go out to all the victims and the families of this terrible tragedy. As a company, we have dedicated our lives to bringing joy and happiness to children’s lives. To me, it is unfathomable that someone could do such a thing.
As I’ve read updates about this crime, I’ve been overwhelmed by the teachers that saved their students lives even by sparing their own. Although terrible acts like this seem to be becoming more and more prevalent in society, I think it’s brave women like those who sacrificed their lives trying to protect little children that make America such a great country.
I know this is a business blog, and I really don’t like to talk about faith when it comes to this blog, but one scripture came to mind on Friday night, and I felt it necessary to share:
2nd Corinthians 1:3-5
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
God, I pray that you would somehow comfort the victims of this terrible tragedy.
